February 12, 1947, in Paris, France Montaigne Avenue 30, Christian Dior held his first fashion show, unique “New look” to stir up the fashion industry, for the Dior (Dior) legend set the first milestone.This year coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Maison, so brand held numerous exhibitions around the world and also launched Dior VIII Montaigne Tissage Précieux commemorative watch. By combining different textures, all that find their origin with the different styles of fabrics, the same watch becomes completely different. And, now, Dior’s favourite couture textiles get a haute revamp in the world of horology in three different ways. In a limited-edition run of just eight apiece, each of the three timepieces tips its hat to Dior’s couture heirtage with classic fabric motifs – Cannage, Chevron and Pied-de-Poule.

The diameter of the rose gold watch case is 36mm. A clever size, as it is large enough to highlight the extraordinary dial, yet at the same time small enough to remain elegant. The bezel is set with a circle of diamonds, while the crown was decorated with rose diamonds embellishment. To avoid affecting the pattern on the dial, the gold “Dior” logo is not placed on the plate, but engraved in the anti-glare sapphire crystal under the mirror.
And, while some might expect the Dior VIII Montaigne Tissage Precieux to be powered by an automatic movement, they are probably quite excited to learn that instead, Dior opted for an automatic movement, which can be admired through the glass case back.
