One of the supercar that helped define Lamborghini company is Diablo. A series of these legendary models was created from 1990 to 2001, and created less than 3,000 copies that were the predecessors of the iconic Countach car which paved the way for Murcielago series, finally replaced by the Aventador models. Diablo was a real devil in its time, while all the configurations of the model in this line today can be considered sturdy supercars who don’t have to worry about how to deal with modern cousins on any track.
From this small number of Diablo cars, only a few units have been transported to the UK, with SV specifications and steering wheel on the right, including the model you see in our gallery. Finished in a metallic green exterior, under which is hidden passenger cabin in black leather and Alkantara, this car is believed to be just 13 licensed Lamborghini on the island, which makes it far more desirable.
Silverstone Auctions expects complete insanity during the Salon Prive Sale auction, which will be held on September 2, when this Diablo SV will be presented to all very serious collectors, with all its features, such as power steering, wheel of 17 inch front and 18 inch rear, climate control, CD player, electric window lifters, central locking and sports exhaust system, among others.
The auction house adds that this Italian beast is equipped with a very extensive service history, with all the books and tools, and will be presented at the auction by a man who is a specialist for this brand.
Anyone who tries to buy this machine must be ready to splash out large sums of money, because for this Lamborghini Diablo SV it is thought that it will change hands by figure which will stop somewhere between £155,000 and £175,000 ($199,880 and $225,670).
