The most expensive of 13 Ferraris offered by the auction house RM Sotheby’s is 250 GT SWB (Short Wheel Base) model from 1961 for which the new owner had to splash out $8,3 million. One of the total of 165 Ferrari models produced by the 250 GT SWB was completely restored and the second most expensive car offered by RM Sotheby’s at the last auction in Monterey (California), and the buyer for the original copy (gray) without any modifications had to pay $ 8,3 million.
Red Ferrari 275 GTB/4 from 1967 was sold for $3,25 million, and a highly preserved copy of the legendary F40 model from 1991 reached $1,54 million.
Among the most interesting specimens from Maranello collection are definitely exclusive models of the 599 GTO, F430 Scuderia, Modena 360 CS (Challenge Stradale) and F430 16M Scuderia Spider, and the new owners also got the Dino GT, 308 GTB, 328 GTS, 512 BBi (two copies) and 575 Superamerica.
