Arcadia Yachts announced plans at the Cannes Yachting Festival to move forward with several new concepts such as the expansion of the current superyacht lines plus a new series of steel-hulled superyachts in the FOR.TH range.
The brand has essentially grouped together it’s ‘A’ models under the Gamma A line, added a new Sherpa 72 to the existing 55 model to create a Gamma Sherpa line, and started a new steel-hull line of motor yachts under the name Gamma FOR.TH.

The expansion of the Sherpa name from single yacht to yacht line came from the tremendous interest in the concept and the brand’s eagerness to offer a larger, uncompromised version of the Sherpa’s fundamental characteristics. Arcadia reports that within 18 months, a new 72-foot version of the Sherpa we have come to know will be ready to cruise with a number of improvements in regards to space, capabilities, and comfort on board.
The big news, however, was the announcement of the new 47-metre motor yacht project. Designed by Milanese studio Hot Lab, the first model in the FOR.TH line up (short for Forward Thinking) is aggressively styled but keeps to both Arcadia and Hot Lab’s signature styles.
Gamma FOR.TH
Large glass surfaces, something Arcadia is so well known for, is still on offer and so are the simple and effective outdoor areas that link so effectively to the airy interiors. The sub-500 GT yacht will offer an exclusive 51-square-metre owner’s apartment along with four guest suites on the lower deck.
Another familiar Arcadia features include the recognisable use of solar panels as a testament to the brand’s environmentally-friendly approach to yachting.
The stern opens up through a set of sliding glass doors to reveal a gym or spacious beach deck area.
