Chrome and wine in honor of American classics …
We have seen bottles of wines made of cardboard and even recycled keys, but now there is a new item on the list of unconventional materials that you can use to make wine bottles: chrome. Tank Garage Winery, in cooperation with Chrome Dreams, has made its own chrome-glass bottle in limited quantities.
California winery made this special piece in honor of classic American cars, as evidenced by an emblem on a bottle that resembles oldtimer cars. It took a whole year for Winery Tank Garage with the packaging manufacturer to design a chromium process before the Chrome Dreams bottle was created.
What’s in it is just as great: a mixture of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from 2015, with creme de cassis flavors, vanilla and caramel, and a hint of laurel and star anise.
Chrome Dreams will be produced in as little as 500 copies, you can buy them directly in the Napa Valley, and will also be available online later this month.
