At the recently held Maison & Objet 2017 fair in Paris, designer Tom Dixon debuted with a new collection made of borosilicate glass – a series of minimalist glassware designed to serve as ritual instruments for everyday use in the service of serving drinks, serving in general. These are delicate hand-made items such as vases, teapots and glasses, with subtle levels of translucency of pink and gray tones. BUMP offers an elegant approach to the alchemical processes of making tea, mixing, and arranging flowers.

With these products for measuring, preparing, cooling, pouring and preserving, we are considering transformative alchemy of curious instruments and chemical reactions.
Inspired by laboratory items and test tubes, BUMP is an exercise in manipulating conical, spherical and tubular shapes, as well as a game of transparency and transparency.
The resulting process of traditional glassblowing transferred into a graphite mold, BUMP line is made of borosilicate, heat-resistant glass, which are normally used in scientific and experimental laboratories.
Lightweight, durable and able to withstand high temperatures, borosilicate glass is usually seen in a colorless and pure state, but it is offered here in a transparent pink and glossy black color, thanks to the mixing of rare raw materials that have produced delicate shapes in unusual colors.
