Three years ago Lamborghini unveiled the Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, a hardcore, race-ready iteration of the popular Lamborghini Huracan road car. Now, the motorsports geeks from Lamborghini Squadra Corse just released an updated version of the Super Trofeo at a special event at Sant’Agata Bolognese, and it’s got improved aerodynamics and new safety measures, all with the same Super Trofeo fun.
Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO
The EVO is mechanically the same, but includes a number of visual and aerodynamic updates. The new body kit, designed by Centro Stile Lamborghini and Dallara Engineering, maintains the same amount of downforce, but decreases resistance to make the car more efficient and stable at speed.
With the top snorkel funneling air into the engine, Lamborghini reshaped the rear quarter-panels and deleted their side air scoops. Designers enlarged the lower brake cooling ducts, angled them away from the rear wheels, and added winglets.

The front fenders add new extensions, while the front diffuser takes inspiration from the Huracán Performante. A central vent (hexagonal, of course) and deeper radiator pockets complete the new hood. Should the Evo land on its side, a roof hatch allows the driver a quick escape. Nothing changes with the 5.2-liter V-10, which continues to send 612 horsepower through a six-speed Xtrac sequential gearbox and to the rear wheels.
Even the price stays the same, at $295,000 before delivery, but current Huracán Super Trofeo owners will be able to purchase the body kit to upgrade their existing car.

In addition to the launch of the updated racecar, Lamborghini Squadra Corse announced a partnership with Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis, so we can expect tie-ins between the two brands. The new (and pretty wild) livery on the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO includes Roger Dubuis branding. Roger Dubuis has also launched a limited edition of Excalibur Aventador watches.
