The sketch of Empire State Building, drawn by US President Donald Trump, was auctioned in Los Angeles for $16,000. The display of skyscrapers on the 12-inch-by-9-inch paper Trump drew with a black marker in 1995 for a charity auction in Florida at a time when his property Mar-a-Lago was open as a private club. Julien auction house says that the drawing with Tramp’s signature was then sold for less than $100, and that its value before the new auction was estimated at between $8,000 and $12,000.
The name of the buyer was not disclosed, and a portion of the proceeds of the sale are going to benefit WHDD-FM, a National Public Radio station in Connecticut.
