For the 2018 model year, Porsche also offers the 911 Carrera T (T for Touring), with a slightly lower weight and better performance compared to the regular 911 Carrera on which it is based. The emphasis is on a more purist approach that was distinguished by the earlier 911 models, including the 911 T from 1968.
The car has undergone certain changes in the styling, which include, among others, a refined front bumper with a spoiler, metallic gray mirrors, 20-inch alloy wheels, centrally positioned black exhaust pipes, and a leather GT sports steering wheel, decorative details and lightweight seats with the Sport-Tex scheme and the “911” logo.
Also, there are also standard PASM sports suspension (the car is 20 mm lower), optional steering and rear wheels, Sport Chrono Package, mechanical differential lock, short drive transmission with manual seven-speed transmission, and lightweight glass for rear and rear side glass.
We need to mention thinner soundproofing materials, so at the end the car has a weight of 1425 kg (which is a 20 kg reduction compared to the base 911 Carrera model). It also means a better weight / power ratio, from 3.85 kg per hp.
911 Carrera T has a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine of 272 kW/370 hp and 450 Nm (between 1750 and 5000 rpm), accelerating up to 100 km/h for 4.5 seconds (for 0.1 sec better than ordinary 911 Carrere), up to 200 km / h arrives in just 15.1 seconds, while the highest speed is 290 km/h.
In the version with the optional seven-speed PDC double-clutch gearbox, the acceleration to 100 is 4.2 seconds and up to 200 km/h in 14.5 seconds.
Customers will be able to choose between nine colors for the exterior (Black, Lava Orange, Guards Red, Racing Yellow, White, Miami Blue, Carrara White, Jet Black and GT Silver), and the price for this model in Germany is €107,553.
