Air Jordans. No other shoe has had more impact on a single sport, then witnessed that impact bleed over into popular culture the way this one has.
The first pair of Air Jordan’s were produced especially for NBA legend Michael Jordan in 1984. It would be another year before the rest of the world got in on the act. After more than three decades and counting, it can be difficult keeping up with the many releases and their variants. As a result, some truly wonderful versions of this groundbreaking shoe have been buried in a sea of re-designs and new releases.
Air Jordan 11
One of them The Air Jordan archive from Jordan Brand has a good amount of unreleased Air Jordan silhouettes that never made it into full general production and one of those styles is this very rare Air Jordan 11 Twilight Blue sample from 2000.
A pair of sneakers features a white with twilight blue colorway across its mixed tumbled leather and patent leather upper.
What makes the shoe unique though is the JORDAN lettering on it’s eyelets, a detail that was last seen on the unreleased samples of 2006’s DMP Jordan 11 release. Since the original ‘DMP’ series was un-shelved, many have waited to procure their own JORDAN-stamped sneakers.
The sneakers are currently for sale on eBay in a US size 9 for $23,232.23.
