In the heart of the Iberian Peninsula, the largest artificial beach in Europe will soon be made.
Forty minutes from Madrid and about 300 kilometers from the sea, the tourist complex Alovera Beach is being built. An artificial lake of 25,000 square meters, where tourists can sail, will surround 15,000 square meters of sandy beach. The realization of the project worth €15.6 million was entrusted to the Spanish construction company Grupo Rayet.

Grupo Rayet president Felix Abanades said: “The location near the highway is ideal. Whoever wants to go to the sea will not have to travel to Valencia.” The project was made by the Chilean company Crystal Lagoons, which has designed the largest pool in the world in Chile.
On the commercial footage of construction company Alovera Beach, it is described as “innovative and sustainable”.

Water consumption is reportedly 30 times smaller than in golf courses and half as small as in aquaparks of these dimensions.
In the summer of 2020, Alovera Beach will be open within a residential and recreational complex. It is expected to have between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors per year.
Also, the project is expected to create more than 300 jobs.
