VW Microbus from 1960 with “Samba” soft roof and 23 windows will soon be offered for sale by Sotheby’s auction house.
The more windows, the price is higher. Such are the rules at least when it comes to the VW Bus, specifically the passenger version of the famous Volkswagen Type 2 and Transporter T1.
In the meantime, there was a rule that the “hippie” van costs as much as the windows,and multiply with a thousand units of euros or dollars.

Now this figure has grown ten times, so obviously the rule of how many windows has ten thousand times something.
In particular, there will be offered VW Microbus from 1960, which was originally purchased in California.
After detailed and very precise restoration, this microbus will be auctioned by Sotheby’s in New York. It will be offered without reserve and is expected to reach the price between $150,000 and $225,000.
