Cars and watches have many in common. Both a car and a watch consist of sophisticated technology and high-quality materials. It is not entirely illogical that beautiful watches are often accompanied by beautiful cars – and vice versa. For example, watches are often made in honor of a certain car. This Molnar Fabry Time Machine Regulator 911 is such a tribute. Yes, the name says it all, in honor of the Porsche 911.

This Slovak luxury brand is characterized by the way they skeletonize their watches. The founders of Molnar Fabry (Michal Molnar and Igor Fabry, both of whom trained as jewellers) revealed this custom watch just a few days ago, a special piece commissioned by the owner of the classic Porsche.
Like many other watches from Molnar Fabry (such as the White Lotus Split Seconds introduced last year), the Time Machine Regulator 911 is based on an existing movement, (in this case the Unitas 6498) but elaborately modified and finished.

On the Time Machine Regulator 911 the time display has been converted into a regulator-style display, with the hours in a sub-dial at 10 o’clock, while the minute hand remains in the centre. Both sub-dials for the hours and seconds are made from pure silver.
The movement has been skeletonized by hand, while the detailed open-working adds to a stunning visual effect; even the barrel, the keyless works, and gears have been skeletonized as well, to match the overall design of the watch.

All components are rhodium plated or ruthenium plated, even balanced wheels are also ruthenium-plated with green baking screws.
The watch case is made of titanium with a diameter of 44 mm, produced in-house by Molnar Fabry. The Machine Regulator 911 is currently on sale for € 14,900.
