Lebanese-born, Ralph Masri has had an international upbringing having lived between Lebanon, Canada, France and the United Kingdom. His first major milestone occurred when he won the Swarovski Award as a first-year student which gave him the opportunity to work for the global brand. He opened his first showroom in the heart of Beirut in 2014, and two years later he was named an honorary Fine Jewelry Winner at the 2016 DDFC/Vogue Fashion Prize, cementing his status as one of the Middle East’s top emerging talents.
Modernist Jewelry Collection
Masri’s latest collection is inspired by mid-century Modernist architecture… His new collection – Modernist is simple, bold, and sophisticated.
The starting point for the collection came when Masri saw a giant compound of Oscar Niemeyer buildings that were originally built for an international fair in northern Lebanon in 1963. This group of bold yet unfinished modernist concrete structures “are like beautiful skeletons,” says Ralph. “I love architecture. That and history are always the starting point for me when I’m designing.”

The collection looks to the architecture of the mid-century era for a selection of 24 pieces, each offered in two colorways: white gold set with diamonds and blue sapphires, or rose gold set with light and dark pink sapphires.
Motioning to the new hoop-in-hoop and triangle earrings, he says, “If done right they can accent a woman beautifully. I think the lines can highlight those of a woman’s face and neck.” His serious gaze breaks into a smile. “Yes, I’m overworked, but you know, this is everything that I’ve been working towards.”
