Magico is one of the top speaker companies in the world, but they were so far out of reach for many of us. Finally a set of Magicos that seem worth the price. We’re talking about the new Magico A3 floor standing 3-way speakers obtainable for a wider audience. Built around a classic three-way design, the A3 mounts a beryllium dome tweeter with 28mm diameter inherited from its iconic M-Project speaker.
The middle frequencies are the task of a 6-inch driver manufactured with carbon fiber with a layer of nanografne that should improve their sound capabilities.
And for the serious the Magico A3 has opted for two 7-inch woofers that contribute to the set. A frequency filter of 24 dB / octave has been used, using the Elliptical Symmetry Crossover technology, which theoretically should preserve linearity and minimize distortion.
As for the other features, the A3 offers a frequency response between 22 Hz and 50 KHz, a sensitivity of 88 dB / W / m and an impedance of 4 ohms with a minimum recommended power of 50 watts.
The new Magico A3 will go on sale on a date yet to be specified but with a price of $9,800 for the couple.
