France is home of the macaron. U.S. is home of McDonald’s. Four macaron flavours, imported directly from France, now come packaged in cute McDonald’s takeout boxes.
We’re talking about Japanese McDonald’s cafes who added this delightfully fancy dessert treat to their menu.
The chain has recently released an assortment of the delightful sweets in 90 McCafé by Barista outlets.

The limited-edition confectioneries come in four flavors: vanilla, chocolate, raspberry, and citron—which features a tart lemon cream. Each flavour retails for 150 yen (US$1.32).

Adding to the appeal of the adorable limited-edition sweets is the cute packaging they come in. The “Takeout Box Set” contains three macarons of your choice and is only available in limited quantities for 450 yen or about $4.
