Swedish hotel called 28th Icehotel is special in that it is made of ice and looks like an ice kingdom.
The hotel is open this month in Lapland, and offers guests accommodation in rooms and apartments built entirely of ice. The whole hotel is decorated with unique works of local artists.
Nevertheless, the guests will not be cold at an ice hotel, because they have plenty of warm overcoats and clothes available to make their stay as pleasant as possible. Each room and apartment have a unique look, and the view on the snow covered area of the hotel is truly incredible.
In each room there are impressive sculptures.
The hotel is located 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle in the Swedish village of Jukkasjärvi, this ephemeral hotel of ice and snow is rebuilt every winter for a few spectacular months, when the River Torne is frozen. “Material” is exactly an ice from this river, and for the construction of a hotel it takes 1,000 tons of ice.
The temperature in rooms and apartments is constant: minus 5 degrees Celsius.
Hotel offers a wide range of winter activities, including a sleigh ride.
