Everyone would like to know where his luggage is at any moment. Especially if that luggage is signed with LV. So, the problem is solve. Louis Vuitton has a new tech product on the way: a luggage tracker that pairs with particular bags sold by the fashion company.
Called ‘The Louis Vuitton Echo,’ it will be built by French start-up Axible. It can operate for up to six months on a full battery and can be recharged via simple USB cable.
You just have to use Louis Vuitton’s smartphone app, LV Pass, to pair with the luggage tracker. Additionally, the tracker conveniently slides into a dedicated pocket in LV luggage.
Furthermore, the tracker automatically turns to Airplane Mode in flight. Once you land, just check the app to find out your bag’s location. You can even find out if someone opened it during transit.
The Louis Vuitton Echo will work within all major international airports covered by Sigfox’s mobile geolocation service, including most of Northern and Western Europe and highly-populated cities in the US, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Iran, Oman, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. While there is no news on its price yet, anyone buying a Louis Vuitton Echo gets three years of Sigfox service included with purchase of the device.
