The first Azerai hotel in Vietnam and second overall opened its door in the Mekong Delta’s Can Tho city one month ago. Can Tho is the principle city in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta and the fourth largest city in Vietnam: an area, known as the ‘nine dragon river delta’, where the Mekong River flows into the East Sea through a network of nine tributaries.
Azerai Can Tho sits on its own islet with lakes, waterways and mangroves, offering guests a unique island resort experience.
The 60 guestrooms are desgined in neutral tones and styled with natural materials such as wood and rattan, and feature open-plan bedrooms, large washrooms and terraces to enjoy the river, lake, or garden views.
In addition to two restaurants that offer International, Vietnamese, Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine, facilities and services include a wide range of fitness-enhancing opportunities as well as a comprehensive spa, a junior zone, restaurants, a lounge and bar, and a boutique.
Room rates start from $250++ during the period from December 2017 to September 2018.
The name Azerai is influenced by the initials of Adrian Zecha and the Persian word “caravanserai”, which means a resting place for travelers with a central courtyard. Azerai’s first hotel is located in the heart of the Buddhist township of Luang Prabang in Laos, one of the lesser known but beautifully preserved UNESCO heritage sites in the world.
