Movado watch Museum Wrap was restylated and inspired by vintage watch that was once owned by the Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor.
Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry is widely known. So much, that all that was once owned by this beautiful actress is popular even today. When not acted, married the umpteenth time, or divorced – Elizabeth was collecting jewelry.
As an enchanting and passionate collector, after her death in 2011, her jewelry worth $137 million was auctioned.
When the 18-carat gold watch Movado from 1957 with a bracelet wrapped around the wrist of the arm, appeared a few years ago at Christie’s auction, everyone from the Movado House wanted to buy it to get it back. The watch was originally designed for the most beautiful actress of all time.
Originally, this watch was supposed to be part of the divine Movado Heritage collection of watches made up of special designs and which marked the 133-year-long history of the brand. However, Movado managed to buy this watch from the auction house.
Realizing that it would be fantastic to offer new generations a bit of a retro Hollywood glamor, the leaders of the Movado House have decided to revive the famous design in the form of redesigned models.
The result is a 20-millimeter yellow gold PVD-finished stainless-steel case timepiece that, like Taylor’s custom model, features a flexible multi-wrapped bangle construction. Updated with a sleek soleil Museum dial, the basic design feels refreshingly timeless and delicate enough to wear amid your favorite bracelet stack.
