The impeccable McLaren 720S was recently put up for auction sale organized in charity action by Naples Winter Wine Festival.
This beautiful car, created at the MSO motorsport division of the British brand, reached the amount of $650,000 which is an impressive amount of money taking into account a standard 720S retails for $284,745 in the United States. All proceeds will be directed towards the Naples Children & Education Foundation, which since its inception has managed to raise more than $176 million that have been used to help over 200,000 children.
One of the most prominent parts of the automotive industry, created by the McLaren Special Operations segment, is a unique model in the world, finished with the exclusive Nero Red color of this sports tuner, located around the Saddle Brown leather interior of the passenger compartment. The body color of this car was named after Nerello Mascalese grape from the Mascali area of Castaia, Sicily.
Other unique features of this model include the extensive use of carbon fibers, both externally and inside the passenger compartment, a specially adapted leather sports steering wheel, with carbon black leather segments and special markings that emphasize that this is a uniquely designed unit of the British supercar.
The powertrain of this unique 720S car remains unchanged, which means that under the hood is a four-liter V8 engine with 710 hp and 770 Nm of torque. This power is enough to accelerate the car to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, after which it accelerates to 200 km/h in just 7.8 seconds.
