Even 12 beautifully preserved cars that marked the history of the manufacturer from Zuffenhausen were owned by James G. Hascall, one of General Dynamics’s leading figures who passed away in 2016.
He was wealthy, and that he knew he was enjoying life, best illustrated the image of his Porsche collection. All 12 cars will be auctioned at Gooding & Company’s Amelia Island Auction held on March 9, 2018.
The largest star is, of course, the Porsche 959 Comfort from 1987, worth more than $1 million, and the impressive Porsche Carrera GT from 2005, with 200 kilometers on its odometer, worth about $800,000.
Two Porsches 356 also attract attention worth $200,000.
The largest part of the collection relates to the Porsche 911. The oldest is the 2.0 S from 1969, worth about $180,000, and the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS from 2016, the last car that James G. Hascall bought.
