Paris-based design studio Noir Vif has created three different chocolate bars styled to look like just the tiles from Paris Metro Stations!
These chocolate bars designed for the RATP (Paris public transports operator) celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Paris Express Railway Network (RER) linking East Paris and West Paris.
This project draws its inspiration from the Briare enameled tilesthat have been used to cover and protect the walls of the stations.
Thanks to daring graphics and colours these tiles gave to each station in Paris intramuros their own emblematic architectural identity since their opening back in the late 70’s.
Thanks to a thermoformed platform, all the chocolate bars come with a genuine Briare enameled tile. The box lets see the real enameled inside while still being intriguishing on what’s really inside the box.
Beside this sweet delicacy, each box contains an object to keep as a souvenir (the small, colorful tiles next to the chocolate) as well as a brief history lesson. Interesting, is not it?
