The Carré H is an usual square watch that has been a part of Hermès‘ collection now for eight years since it was then originally launched in a limited edition of 173 pieces (signifying the brand’s 173rd anniversary). Designed by Marc Berthier in 2010, the Hermès Carré H was characterized by its square shape (carré in French), a modern aesthetic and instant legibility.
This year, Hermès is revamping the model which debuted at this year’s SIHH. The new Carré H boasts a redesigned case, new dials and a new movement without losing an inch of its Hermès identity.

The case has been enlarged from 36.5mm to 38mm, made of 316L polished and micro bead-blasted steel.
The dial comes in black or anthracite grey with a red or yellow second hand, respectively. The centre is opaline guilloché and the rim uses a sunburst or opaline finish. The applied indexes and Arabic numerals are filled with luminescent material and paired with faceted hands.
The Carré H is powered by the self-winding Hermès manufacture H1912 movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering a 50-hour power reserve.
The watch comes on a strap made from Barenia calf skin strap completed with a pin buckle.
Hermès Carré H watch is available for the price of CHF 6,500 with taxes (app. $7,000 USD).
