Lately there has been a lot of talk about Ferrari preparing an extreme version of the 488 GTB, and in the meantime, this car (called Ferrari 488 Pista) has already been presented to the selected group of lucky ones, in the closed presentation.
The official premiere for the general public will normally be held early in March at the Geneva Motor Show, but the first factory images and certain information about this sports car are available already now.
So, its 3.9 liter twin-turbo V8 engine is 10 percent lighter than the regular version, with 530 kW / 720 hp and 770 Nm of torque (which is 185 hp per liter of volume).
Also, the aero body package has been changed, stating that “aerodynamic efficiency” has increased by 20 percent compared to the standard model. First of all, carbon fiber components (front hood, front bumper, rear spoiler, rear bumper and rear diffuser) as well as 20-inch carbon fiber wheels (40% lighter than standard ones) should be mentioned here.
We should also mention the Sideslip Management System (which is Ferrari’s advanced traction and stability control system) as well as extreme direct steering.
This 1280 kg heavy car (90 kg less than the regular model) to 100 km/h arrives in 2.85 seconds and reaches a maximum of 340 km/h.
At the end dimensions: length 4605 mm, width 1975 mm and height 1206 mm.
