Land Rover has teamed up with a local English phone maker from Reading, Berkshire, Bullitt Group to launch a mobile phone with a large battery, advanced GPS and robust design.
The device, which goes on sale in April, is designed to be resistant both to extreme temperatures and to water. Land Rover says the device is aimed at skiers and mountaineers who bore smart devices with a short battery life. The new phone under the name “Explore” is designed to carry Land Rover’s features like its bumpers, cooler rack lines, roof and even the front-lamp in the form of a camera.

Charlie Henderson of Bullitt says the small thickness of today’s devices greatly reflects on their durability. He added that the new Land Rover phone, developed in cooperation with the British car manufacturer, is designed for people who love nature and require a longer life of the phone. The new Explore comes with a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh, Android Nougat operating system, 4 GB Ram memory, an 8 MP front camera and the rear of 16 MP and 5.0 inches full HD display.
Land Rover Explore will be available from April 26 this year at a price of €649 (around $800).
