Last month at the NAIAS Motor Show in Detroit Mercedes officially promoted the long-awaited new G class, while the upcoming Geneva show will be used to display his AMG version.
It is Mercedes-AMG G63 powered by the 4.0-liter V8 engine of the 430 kW/585 hp (coupled with the AMG Speedshift TCT), so acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 km/h) is only 4.4 seconds.

Mercedes will also offer this G-class with the AMG Night Package, which among other things includes tinted lights and luminaires, darkened glasses, Obsidian Black details (front bezel frame, bumper parts, mirrors, A pillars, ring around the spare wheel on the tailgate), as well as alloy wheels of 21 or 22 inches.
