An extremely rare example of a Lamborghini motorcycle, based on the jubilee version of the Countach model, was recently offered at auction.
Unfortunately, it remained equally unpopular as it did three decades ago, and this Lamborghini Design 90 failed to find a new owner.
With an initial price of €48,000, it was expected that it could earn more than €90,000, but not only did not reach that amount, but it remained un-sold.
It is one of only 6 examples created by Lamborghini’s collaboration with the French motorcycle manufacturer Boxer. They were made in honor of the 25th birthday of the Countach model, and the bodywork is modeled on the supercar model with the V12 engine.
However, they were so unpopular, that the planned second series of 19 models was canceled.
The motorcycle from the auciton and on images is the second in a row, it is powered by a 997 cubic engine, had only one previous owner, who had crossed 7,200 kilometers with it.
