Armand de Brignac (known as Ace of Spades and owned by Jay-Z) has added a Blanc de Blancs en Magnum to its prestige cuvée collection.
The 100% Chardonnay Champagne blends 2008, 2006 and 2005 vintages and was disgorged on 25th May 2016.
The grapes used for Blanc de Blancs en Magnum are sourced from the Côte des Blancs, plus nearly half the blend coming from the Montagne de Reims.
Decanter’s tasting director Christelle Guibert said it has a ‘rich mouthfeel and sweet, honeyed fruit on the finish’ and that it would be a good Champagne for lightly grilled seafood, fresh oysters and light cheeses.
Nestled in gleaming metallic bottle, champagne Armand de Brignac Blancs de Blanc Magnum is limited to less than 1,000 bottles, at a price of £1,650 each.
