BMW is the latest in a row of manufacturers who have decided to offer an innovative car subscription program. The Bavarian manufacturer called its program “Access by BMW“, and offered two options.
For the amount of $ 2,000 per month, users have 530e, 540i, X5, 440i Coupe and M2. Those more demanding can choose “M Plan” in which M5, X5 M, X6 M and M4 are available for $3,700 per month. So, every month you can drive another car and you do not have to worry about maintenance costs, as all services are solved by BMW.
Users with a monthly war have to pay an incredible $575 for joining the program, and there is also a fuel cost. Upon entering the program, the user binds in only 32 days, after which he can cancel the subscription. Of course, it is possible to subscribe for a longer period. All models before the takeover go through the process of checking and washing to get the users in the best possible condition.
The monthly limit is 3,220 km. In case the user makes less kilometers, this amount is transferred to the next month. So, annually it can cross over to a solid 38,640 km, and anyone who overcame that figure will pay a fee of 50 cents per kilometer … We only have an unclear tire issue.
Namely, we know that M models can drive quite hard, and in that case tires get hit very quickly, so the question remains how will this item be controlled …
This project is currently reserved for the United States, but it is believed that it will soon begin to be offered in Europe as well. Let’s remind, a large number of manufacturers have started subscription models that they believe will replace classical car ownership in the future …
