Luxury candle company Owen Drew Candles based in Birkenhead, UK has released the world’s most expensive candle. Drew Cockton, company owner plans to release the candles to tie in with celebrations for the Royal Wedding with each set in 24 carat gold.
“I wanted to design something completely luxurious, so used Bulgarian Rose oil and Indian Jasmine oil. They are amongst the most expensive essential oils in the world; for just 1KG over 2 million roses are used. We then added peony notes, since this is the bride’s favourite flower, complimented by Geranium oil from the Nile Delta to enhance the green notes of the foliage.
Beech and Birch notes are supported by Cedarwood oil from the Americas. Finally, expensive musks round off the whole fragrance giving it a wonderfully floral finish,” Drew explained.
There will only be 12 of the limited edition candles available when they’re released next month at a whopping £750.
Two monts ago this British brand also launched ‘the UK’s first aphrodisiac candle’ called ‘Love Drug’ which contains a cocktail of libido-boosting scents which promise to boost sexual desire by focusing on an area of the brain called the limbic system. It costs £60.
