Gordon & MacPhail company announced the launch of its Private Collection line from Linkwood Distillery 1956 …
This is the last beverage crate from the 1950s that comes from this distillery, and is in their spectacular inventory. Some believe that this is the last 50-year-old edition of the magazine in the world. Gordon & MacPhail put on sale only 53 decanters of sixty-year-old sing malt whiskey for the whole world, with a price of 22,000 pounds.
Whiskey from this collection has the color of mahogany and chestnut. It’s a layered whiskey with blueberry, fruit cake and dark chocolate accents.
Otherwise, this whole collection comes from the crate number twenty, one of the last one that John Urkvhart, a member of the first generation family owned by Gordon & MacPhail, sent to maturity before his retirement.
The crate number twenty so matured for six decades under the eye of John’s son George and the generations that followed him until the fourth generation decided that it was the right time to bottling this liquid gold.
Each decanter from this collection is hand blown and individually numbered, and comes with a certificate of authenticity and an award-winning design inspired by the landscape surrounding the famous distillery. Of the fifty-three bottles released for sale, several can be purchased directly at the stores of this company.
