This is the latest addition of Jaquet Droz’s range …
In 1738, Pierre Jacquet-Drouz presented the exclusive line of watches to the world. His watches were avant-garde because they had musical components in themselves. By the mid-1770s, Jacquet-Drouz had teamed up with his son, Henri Luis Jacquet-Droze and his neighbor, Jean-Frederick Lehota, and conveyed his unique creations to a whole new level.
The latest additions to the watch line is a rare and limited series called the Petite Heure Minute Lion.
This line is limited to 28 Numerus Clausus pieces. In this latest series, the art studios of the brand created a homage to the powerful lion, that is, the king of the jungle. From the earliest times, this cats family is associated with mystics and myths and is a universal symbol of strength and power that goes beyond cultures and lands. In the latest edition of Jaquet-Droz brand, the lion, the epitome of magnificence, adorns the mechanical dial of the watch, with its powerful, yet still peaceful appearance.
Jaque Droz brand has decided that a miniature image can be the only medium capable of properly depicting this animal, which is awe-inspiring in anyone who meets it.
Therefore, on a 43 mm dial, the motif of the lion is painted on the black Grand Fei enameled background. The black background gives a hand-painted lion of interesting quality, or portrays it as a graceful hunter who kills with its view.
These intriguing artistic details are incorporated into 28 watches, each hand-made and possessing practically imperceptible individual variations, so that each one is unique. Each of the watches of this series comes with the Ateliers d’Art certificate, describing the art techniques used to create this model.
