Macallan brand has thrilled the sea with its announcements of presenting the oldest whiskey in the world …
This seventy-two year old old whiskey is presented in Lalique crystal decanter, and it is limited to only 600 bottles for the whole world. Each of them will cost $60,000, but we believe that it will not deter true and dedicated collectors from buying.
“During its maturation, which lasted seventy-two years, deceptive bright colors of this drink suggests to us that this is not an ordinary single malt.
As a reminder of the time that has passed, it carries a balance of strong and sweet oak, which shapes its sophisticated character. This whiskey will provide you with an interesting surprise, more precisely one after the other, as the aromas of fruit will be replaced, and finally, its taste is not complete with rich flavors of fruit and oak. Delicatessen from all aspects, this whiskey offers an intense experience that marked the history of The Macallan Company, “explains Nick Savage, Macallan’s Master Distiller.
A lot of attention is dedicated to the crystal decanter, as well as its outer packaging. Each decanter is individually numbered, and it reminds us of perfume bottles, thanks to its unique rounded shape and wonderfully detailed zipper.
It’s sold in a presentation case designed by Burgess Studio which is inspired by the interior of the distillery. This kit will be available from August this year in selected boutiques around the world.
