When it comes to Porsche, it’s hard not to mention Carrera GT, and now there is one unique copy offered for sale at a dizzying price.
The car appeared as a concept in 2000 as the successor to the winning model of the 911 GT1, which won the 24-hour Le Mans in 1998. That’s why the prototype got a 5.7-liter V10 engine, but Porsche then decided to leave the project and make space for SUV Cayenne.
Fortunately, Porsche made a concept for the Paris Motor Show in 2000, which interested customers, so the company nevertheless produced a production model and called it Carrera GT. More than 1,270 copies were sold, of which 671 in North America.
One of the specs that ended up in the US is currently on sale, neither the first nor the last ones being produced, but its chassis number 0911. However, what makes it unique is its Signal Yellow, as it is in this color produced only one car.
This Carrera GT is in excellent condition and has only 1,500km on its odometer. The car is powered by a 5.7 liter V10 engine that delivers more than 600 hp. The price is “real small”, it is $1,249,000.
