Bartolomeo Ferracina (1692-1777) started young to project hydraulic mechanisms and engineered works, and to repair watches; he produced models of many types and sizes, from pendulum clocks to to those with automata, from table to tower clocks, including models with lunar phases, the motion of the stars and the zodiac.

His clocks can be seen on the bell towers of several towns inItaly, like Marostica, Solagna, Asole, Bassano del Grappa, Campolongo sul Brenta, Poveglia; and even the tower clock of Piazza San Marco in Venice, which he deeply restored adding also the Magi’s mechanism.
The pen collection dedicated to Bartolomeo Ferracina is appropriately voluminous and imposing, introducing a brand-new silhouette for a Montegrappa writing instrument.
The limited edition Bartolomeo Ferracina contains only 100 pens made from three versions of the celluloid: Malachite (green), Indian Rainbow (beige) and Shiny Circles (gray).

It is interesting that the pencil cover has a quartz clock of 16 mm diameter housing a Miyota mechanism with a white dial and silver index colors on the crown of the lid.
The fountain pen with clock is pretty heavy and meets all Montegrappa’s standards with celluloid body, silver accents, classic piston filling system and 18-carat gold pin, in different sizes.
