After launching Blue Label Ghost & Rare Brora edition last year, Johnnie Walker returns to the scene with a new mix, called Port Ellen …
The new whisky will be part of their special limited edition whisky series, originating from the Port Ellen distillery that is no longer in function. Just like other editions for the Blue Label collection, Port Ellen has a rich taste and it’s a real treasure for the connoisseurs and collectors of this beverage. It is bottled with 43.8% alcohol, and each unit is individually numbered and accentuated due to its limited availability and rarity.
According to Diageo, each edition in the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare series offers “an incredible opportunity to enjoy the depths of the character of whiskey from distilleries whose spirit is still alive, just with the help of them.”
Commenting on the special Blue Label Ghost whiskey, Johnnie Walker’s top master, Jim Beverage, said: “These whiskeys give you a fascinating insight into the other world by exploring the unique and unrepeatable features of whiskey from a small number of iconic, closed distilleries that have donated something specifically to each drops Johnnie Walker Blue Label releases “. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost & Rare Port Ellen whiskey will be available from October this year, with a price of about €350 for a bottle of 700 m.
