The last go kart, driven by the legendary Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna in his career, will be sold at the auction in early September.
The vehicle will be sold at RM Sotheby’s auction in London on September 5 and is expected to cost between 50,000 and 70,000 pounds. Ten percent of the total amount will be donated to Instituto Ayrton Senna, which allows young Brazilians to get quality education.
The organization provides assistance to as many as 1,500,000 children and 65,000 teachers across 17 Brazilian states each year.
Senna was three-times F1 champion, and during his tragically ending ten-year career he drove for Toleman, Lotus, McLaren and Williams. He died in fatal accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. It was the third race of the season and his third since he transfered to Williams.
Last time Senna drove this kart six weeks before his death, after which no one had used him for 24 years. However, it has recently been completely restored by original manufacturers.
