Premium audio equipment maker, Bang & Olufsen announces that their BeoSound 1 and BeoSound 2 speakers will soon get very useful improvements.
For September, the company plans to introduce 2 ultra premium speakers with a built-in Google assistant. This means that B&O will offer the same wide range of features as well as Google Home. B&O engineers have specially designed a pair of new speakers with advanced echo cancellation technology, which uses five microphones built into them to differentiate the sound coming from the speakers from other ambient sounds.
This technology should help Google Assistant record voice commands with greater precision.
The speakers have a striking design with a raised top and a down-turn driver that records sound in each direction. The speakers also have four buttons at the top that can be assigned with different functionality. In addition, they also have Chromecast and Apple Airplay 2 integration, which means they are able to broadcast everything that is being played at that moment in the market.
“We are excited to offer a wide application of voice technology through portfolio, to our audience that expects the highest standards in terms of sound and production. Taking into account that BeoSound 2 with Google Assistant is the strongest and most popular speaker on the market today, this first step marks a firm commitment our customers, “said Bang & Olufsen, Petros Belimpasakis, director of the company. The updated BeoSound 1 will appear next month with a price of $1,750, while BeoSound 2 will be available in October of this year for $2,250.
