In his tireless mission for the defense of the kingdom, twelve loyal knights who took an oath of allegiance joined him, meeting regularly at the round table. Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis now presents us his new homage to this legend, the third edition of the Excalibur Knights of the Round Table watch.

The brand presented its first version of this timer five years ago with a dial based on the Winchester round table. The second model appeared three years ago, with sculptures of twelve bronze knights, gathered around the black jade dial, or a round table. The third version is the best of all, thanks to its incredible three-dimensional dial.
A round table of dial is created in layers, with the center being its deepest point, and the other levels are moving upwards. It was created with the help of twelve transparent blue enamel parts and twelve segments of pink gold.

At the top of each golden section there is a knight in his shimmering golden armor, with a sword that is directed toward the center, swearing on his loyalty to his king. Each of the twelve knights plays the role of an index clock, and is created with the help of a sophisticated poly-sculpting technique, originally developed for the gaming industry and creating 3D models and scenography.
In the case of this model, Roger Dubuis used a technique to create three-dimensional knights of 18-carat gold pink, each of them hand-engraved and finished with the hands of top-notch artists.
Excalibur Knights of the Round Table
Knights’ dimensions are about 6.5 mm in height, and for creation one takes about forty-five hours.
With a diameter of 47 mm, this watch is powered by a self-leveling RD821 automatic mechanism with 172 components and offers a power reserve of 48 hours. Only twenty-eight such watches will be created, and the price of each will be $280,200.
