Jeep belonged to American actor Steve McQueen, which was also used for the needs of the US Army, was offered for sale.
The car belonged to the famous McQueen who bought it from the US Army, was sold four years after his death. The current owner bought it shortly thereafter, making it the fourth in a row of owners.
Jeep will be sold by Silverstone Auctions at the Birmingham Classic Car Show in November, and is expected to sell between £80,000 and £100,000.
Despite its age and history, McQueen’s Jeep is in perfect condition thanks to its complete and detailed restoration. And it comes with documentation proving their origin. A special plate on the instrument panel is also proof that it belonged to McQueen.
The new owner will be able to drive it immediately if he is from the United Kingdom and the European Union, because all taxes have already been paid.
The current owner bought a car in 1984 in Las Vegas.
