The British premium manufacturer Jaguar has launched a new racing series for the richest.
Under the name Series Elite, the new racing series has the target group of the richest drivers older than 50 years. You have read well, you must have over 50 years of age and a “thick” bank account to participate in 12 circuits across the U.K. and Europe. The cars will be Jaguar’s XE SV Project 8, which is basically a Saturn V with number plates, powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with a supercharger.
The fleet of 20 super-sedans of 600 hp and 700 Nm will maintain the Jaguar, and vehicles will only get mild modifications, so minimal that the car will be able to quickly return to a form that is allowed to ride on public roads.
This is not the first time that Jaguar is trying to launch the idea of the Series Elite competition. At the beginning of the year, the company announced the same series with the F-Type GT4 racing car, but it did not come to life. We’ll see how it will go the second attempt.
