Every year, many brands compete who will create most luxury and extravagant Christmas Tree. Somehow the most examples come from U.S. This time one festive show-stopping comes from Europe and is artwork by Munich gold dealer Pro Aurum.
The unusual decoration is made of 2,018 solid gold one-ounce Vienna Philharmonic coins on an acrylic stand.
Atop the tree sits a giant 20-ounce coin as a star, bringing it to 63 kilograms of pure gold used in total.
The tree is valued at $2.3 million euros, or about $2.6 million. The dealer said it still could’ve been worth more, but gold’s value declined during the second half of this year.
The tree will be on display at Pro Aurum’s Munich Goldhaus until Dec. 15.
