For 2018, Chopard prepared a new, unique L.U.C. Perpetual T “Spirit of the Chinese Zodiac” model, which honors Swiss watchmaking and 1,000 years of Chinese culture …
Last year, the whole world was thrilled when Chopard presented its unique piece of watchmaking, which, as a giving honor to 1,000 years of Chinese culture, received a decor in the shape of 12 engraved Chinese zodiac animals on the basis of its case.
This time, Chopard presents us another unique novelty, which got the casie from an ethically-supplied 18-carat gold pink, which is entirely hand-engraved and shows us 12 Chinese zodiac signs, but unlike last year’s model, it has hand-engraved 18-carat gold dial.
Using champlevé engraving techniques, one Chopard master dedicates over 210 hours of work and an incredible amount of patience to create incredible engravings on such a small surface, and has revived 12 symbolic animals from the Chinese zodiac with the help of a subtle light game on precious metal.
Reflecting on the traditional ornamental motifs that we can see on Chinese pagodas and temples, this watch covers in its heart one of the most prestigious combinations of choral mechanisms – perpetual turbine calendar and over nine days of spare energy.
We can freely say that this watch is something like a feature of the top design and the Chopard brand, because absolutely every detail on it is well thought out, carefully created and revived.
