It is activated by pressing the button on the top of the crown. The butterfly on the dial revives with a piston of its wings, stating wheel on chariot operated by cherub.

The wheel on the chariot seems to turn swiftly, which is an optical illusion created by the combination of fixed and movable arms. This performance lasts 90 seconds, and during this period, the butterfly waves its wings 300 times.
The automaton is true to the brand’s history. It honors the two-centuries-old story of a genius watchmaker, Henri-Louis Jaquet-Droz, and his android automaton that drew breathtaking sketches.

One sketch was of a cherub in a chariot drawn by a butterfly, celebrating love and passion.
The first iteration of this new watch was introduced last year, with a dial in the color of mother-of-pearl or black onyx.
There are three new versions: a meteorite dial with hands on the back of onyx; a sapphire dial with a hands on the back of aventurine and a 18-carat white gold composition; the back of the opal with decoration in the form of diamonds.

Jaquet Droz brand will produce 28 pieces of meteorite version, with a price of $126,000, as well as 28 pieces of version with aventurine, at a price of $136,500. The opal dial decorated with diamonds costs $262,500 and is created as a unique one.
