COMME des GARÇONS brand introduced a new addition to its premium perfume line called Concrete …
The new fragrance is a homage to New York, as a reference to the concrete jungle. What has not surprised us is the fact that the perfume does not really smell like concrete, because Christian Astuguevieille, creative director of Comme des Garçons Perfumes, wanted to fascinate with a powerful bottle that has concrete on the outside, while inside offers a gentle smell.
The dominant note of this fragrance is actually sandalwood.
In order to celebrate the new fragrance, the CDG brand created a superb experience in the Brooklyn warehouse, which reflected three significant elements of concrete: destruction, construction and creation. At the entrance, artist Calx Vive offered a video presentation showing the exploding cement. The central part of the exhibition contained huge scaffolds equipped with fluorescent lights. The most delicate part of the exhibition was the circle of 10 spinning cement mixers which exuded cool smoke from dry ice.
