The actor and director Ben Affleck is selling his estate with an incredible eighty-seven acres, located about thirty minutes from Savannah, at a price of $8.9 million. Purchased in 2003, this property is located at Hampton Island Preserve, and has a view of the winding river.
If this property seems familiar to you, this is due to the fact that this Greek-style house was used to capture Afleck’s Live by Night movie.
The main residence, which measures about 600 m2, known as Big House, comes with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The exterior is decorated with high Doric columns, an elegant central staircase back and forth, and covered floors facing the river and surrounding salt fields.
When you want to invite a few friends to spend the weekend with you, take them to Oyster House, a residence that measures about 1,000 square meters, comprising five bedrooms, including three master suites and plenty of space for children with rustic bunk beds, made of wood which was once made up of old sailboats.
There is also the third estate, Summer Cottage, which is actually a large projection room.
This loggia has a huge fireplace and exposed beams on the ceiling, while its spacious terrace is perfect for enjoying the open space.
As Ben Affleck says, he mostly came here when he wanted to be alone, in peace and without any noise and crowd. In April this year, the actor paid $19.25 million for a new 1,300-square-meter villa in California to be closer to his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their three children.
