New UR-105 CT Maverick watch is the latest addition to the Urwerk collection of incredible models …
It’s a watchmaker’s masterpiece made of bronze and titanium, which is designed as a homage to all the wacky artists and eccentric inventors. We are sure that, due to its unusual, alien appearance, this watch will appeal only a few.
Based on the famous watch brand concept, the waving clock, the UR-105 CT Maverick model shows in a completely different way to what we are accustomed to. Every hour moves during a sixty-minute period over the port located at the bottom of the dial. The mechanism consists of four satellites, each of which carries three numerations, which are connected to the rotating carousel.
Satellites rotate, just like every of three hours that are marked on them, presenting the right time, when the satellite is displayed on a 60-minute tape.
Maverick model also has a slider that can be opened and shown to us how its mechanism works. The dial also carries the reserve energy indicator and represents to us digital seconds.
Whole this watch is produced through a process called photolithography, which in translation means that each index is skeletonized for seconds, and therefore weighs less than one gram.
The rear of the model has two turbines on it, which control the automatic winding system, and are adjusted with the lever, by which you choose whether you want to wind your watch automatically or manually through its crown.
Of course, Urwerk UR-105 CT Maverick model will be manufactured in a very limited edition, with just twenty two models, each of which will cost around $67,000.
