After the success they experienced with their previous design, an eighty-meter-long Dragon boat, the Italian shipyard Columbus Yachts now has a new family member …
Columbus Classic 120 meter model, designed by Hydro Tec, contains a wonderful combination of classic design elements and modern ideas, creating something that reminds us of the ocean cruisers of the nineteenth century, while attracting the attention of modern generations.
This yacht has full-height windows with balustrades without a frame for an unhurried view of the environment and the open sea, and can accommodate up to ten passengers on its main deck in its ten cabins. The owner’s apartment is a bit more special, measuring 260 square meters and located on the deck above the main.
On the lower deck we can see a beach club with uninterrupted access to the water, with a spa, a gym and a covered pool under the pool of a glass bottom. The sunbathing area opens when you need it.
In front of the beach club there is a tender garage, where there is a room for divers with oxygen tanks, diving suits and all other necessary equipment.
On the main deck there is a swimming pool of eleven meters long, with a bar for those lazy days spent under the sun, along with the main lounge for perfect enjoyment during the evening. The main deck has a loggia with a cinema and an al fresco dining area, while the owner’s cabin, besides the sleeping part, has a private office, a beauty salon and a massage room, a dressing room and a private bathroom.
From a technical point of view, the new Columbus Classic 120 meter yacht will be powered by five MTU 16V 4000 M33F and two MTU 16V 2000 M41A generators. The yacht has an estimated maximum speed of 20 knots, with a cruising speed of 16 knots, with a crossing range of 7,000 nautical miles.
