Macallan presents its latest whisky – Macallan Estate, a rare single malt made of barley originating from their fields …
Their barley was already part of various expressions from this distillery, but this whiskey is special because it consists entirely of it. Barley is distilled once a year for seven days, and is usually reserved for the best whiskey of this brand.
A new drink, it has a rich color of chestnut, some woody spices, vanilla and essence oranges at the first scent. His sherry notes are also present, along with caramel, banana and warm spices, and the whole beverage is rich, satisfying and complex.
Macallan Estate is packaged in a gift box featuring landscape-inspired designs. The inside of the box contains aerial photography of the barley fields.
Priced at £195 (US$245.62), Macallan Estate will be available to buy from select whisky specialists from July.
